

On December 14, 2022, Sheriff Danny Diggs attended his last D.A.R.E. Graduation as Sheriff of York County and the City of Poquoson, Virginia at Yorktown Elementary School. Over the past 23 years Sheriff Diggs has attended dozens upon dozens of graduations and has personally signed thousands of graduation certificates. Sheriff Diggs has always been committed to the D.A.R.E. program and the positive message it sends to our children. He has managed to attend almost every graduation at all York County schools over the past 23 years. At the event Mark Medford with D.A.R.E. America presented Sheriff Diggs with an award to honor his many years of service to the program at the local, state, and national level. Sheriff Diggs was very proud to receive this award!
